Executive and Leadership Coaching:
A highly targeted and experiential approach to professional and personal development, Coaching is one of the fastest growing and most successful methods used today for increasing leader effectiveness.
Different than advising or consulting, the coaching relationship does not assume that the client needs to be "told" what to do. Rather, the masterful coach uses many tools including acute listening, powerful questioning, and constructive feedback to work in collaboration with the client to achieve his or her specific objectives. As a result, the solutions belong to the client, not the coach, and can be fully embraced and successfully implemented by the client.
Coaching is most often used by those in leadership positions seeking to further develop their own leadership skills or the skills of key employees. Executives and entrepreneurs utilize coaching both to overcome specific issues and to engage in continuous growth and transformation.
Team Coaching:
When teams function with trust, collaboration, and synergy, they are powerful agents for achieving unparalleled results. When teams are high-functioning, there is truth in the popular TEAM acronym “Together Everyone Achieves More.”
Many teams are not high-functioning because true teamwork is difficult to achieve. Many team members simply do not know how to achieve it. Much like executive coaching, team coaching is a powerful way to help teams achieve greater clarity of purpose, overcome obstacles, instill accountability, and attain goals. We help teams figure out how be real teams. As a result, Team Coaching can be a powerfully influential component in transforming an organizational culture from one of competition to one of cooperation.
Unlike traditional "team building", Team Coaching seldom involves games or field trips. Rather, the Team Coach works with the team in real time on real business challenges to achieve real results. Whether the issue at hand is building a strategic plan, making an important decision, or launching a new product, service or system, the team works on the content of the issue, while the team coach focuses on the team’s process and how the team gets the work done. The results are intended to help complete the task at hand but to also transcend that one task by creating a self sufficient team that is self monitoring, self correcting, and high functioning.
FaciliTation:
Sometimes, you don’t need to invest in developing a team. Rather, you simply need someone to assist the team with their process long enough to get the task at hand completed. Whether you are looking to help a permanent team brainstorm an issue for an afternoon or to assist an ad hoc team to complete a task over several sessions, we offer facilitation services that help teams get the job done.
Customized Learning:
When your organization requires a developmental strategy that involves specific knowledge transfer to a wider group of learners, we custom design training to meet your unique needs. We design programs that are interactive, experiential, and engaging for all levels of leadership.
Programs may run several hours or several days. We design everything from comprehensive leadership development programs that provide a platform of common language and knowledge across the organization to highly focused quick hits of learning that take learners for a deep dive into a specific leadership topic.
The hallmark of all of our learning programs is that we know that it takes more to be an effective leader than simply being an efficient manager. Accordingly, all of our programs place an equal emphasis – or sometimes a greater emphasis, depending on the program – on what we call the “being” of leadership as opposed to simply the “doing.” We help leaders develop the essential skills of self-awareness, systems awareness, authenticity, and interpersonal effectiveness that are essential for true leadership effectiveness.
Leadership Assessment:
Oftentimes, you want to invest in developing your leaders, but haven’t discovered their greatest developmental needs and don’t know where to start. Using a variety of methods, including interviews and surveys, we assess leadership development needs in individuals, within groups, or across entire organizations and recommend leadership development strategies to meet those needs.
One of the most powerful tools that we use to gauge individual leadership effectiveness is The Leadership Circle Profile™ (TLCP.) It is our leadership assessment tool of choice because it is a true breakthrough among 360 degree assessments. It is the first to connect a well-researched battery of competencies with the underlying motivations and habits of thought, revealing the relationship between patterns of action and the internal assumptions that drive behavior. TLCP goes to the source of behavior to get greater leverage on change and to advance the coaching conversation.
When working with teams or across the organization, we use the equally powerful Leadership Culture Survey™ (TLCS.) TLCS identifies the gap between your current culture and your desired one. It also measures how the leadership culture within your organization and/or team compares to that of other organizations. TLCS focuses leadership development efforts and creates a very compelling rational for change.
The Leadership Circle Profile and Leadership Cultural Survey were developed and are owned by The Leadership Circle™. Marie Peeler and select associates are certified by The Leadership Circle.

Nonprofit organizations are very different from for-profit organizations – or are they? The answer is yes and no. Nonprofit organizations are different in many ways, but the challenges that the leaders of nonprofits face in terms of developing their capacity to be better and stronger leaders are surprisingly the same. Nonprofit leaders have the same relationship challenges, nonprofit teams experience the same silo issues, and nonprofit organizations face the same concerns of getting all the organization’s leaders onto the same page.
Peeler Associates has helped nonprofit organization meet all of these challenges and more with executive coaching, team coaching, leadership assessment, custom workshops and seminars, leader retreats, and board facilitation that get results.
